Charlie had been wanting to go out for breakfast, so after having some coffee, we left the campground around 9:00am. We drove south on US 1 into Jupiter (about 8 miles from the state park) to a place called the Hurricane Cafe.

When we arrived, we could see the place was so full that we had to park in a nearby parking lot. There were people dining at tables outside enjoying the beautiful weather. We were seated inside the attractive and clean cafe. We ordered from their extensive menu, and everything on the menu sounded so tempting. I had the Shrimp and Grits which were good but had a bit too much cheese in them in my humble opinion. Charlie ordered the country ham which turned out not to be real country ham. Hey, we're from Virginia, we know our country ham. haha All that being said, we really did like this place, and would definitely go back. We just may try a different dish next time. The Hurricane Cafe also serves lunch and dinner.

After breakfast, we drove down to the Hobe Sound Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. We followed the short trail to the beach on the sound. This is part of the Intracoastal Waterway, and we really enjoy watching all the boats go by. The pelicans, seagulls, and manatees also entertained us. We only stayed about 45 minutes before returning to the campground.

We told Sam and Sandy about our little "private beach," and so they wanted to go there too. So this afternoon the four of us went down there and had a great time sitting in our chairs on the beach.

Tonight we all had dinner in our respective RVs, and then joined up again at our site for a nice campfire. I prepared some strawberry shortcakes with angel food cake which we enjoyed around the fire.

Tomorrow will be our last full day here in Hobe Sound before we move on to our next adventure. We have some fun things planned for tomorrow, but I will share that in my next update.
