Ahh Ha! Ice Cream...

And Lots of it!

One of 10 cabinets of choice.

So 14 hours later and one hour time difference, we finally arrive at our Venezuelan destination of Merida...three taxis, two buses and one plane!

The best bit of the trip was the 6am airport check in with the chicks and the very belligerent cockrel! And...no violent horror videos!

Merida brings us back to the beautiful Andes range of which Venezuela has over 400kms and the highest peaks are here...Pico Bolivar(5007m) and Pico Humboldt(4942m)...it also has the highest and longest cable car in the world, from which you get great views of these two mountains.

Originally we had planned to do lots of activities from here, but we have found a nice, friendly place to stay and are just taking it easy...it is really strange...we have probably seen more travellers and tourists here, than in the whole six weeks in Colombia...all rather disturbing!!

But to more important things...here lies the home of an ice cream shop that is in the Guiness Book of Records...it has over 900 flavours, though not all at any one time! (Thankfully!!) We tried amongst others..crab, chilli, hot dog, Polar beer, cheese, Jurrasic Park, red wine ...left to try...trout eggs, smoked salmon, Titanic, Miss Venezuela, Guiness, Viagra, Pimms, Reuters, Spaghetti with cheese, asparagus.....
