Bob and Shirley's Great Adventure 2011-12 travel blog

The final inspector is coming today, the Home Owners Policy guy. It has been a struggle getting someone assigned. Once that is done we can expect to find out how much the insurance will pay. FEMA turned down our application following that inspection Sunday. If the insurance settlement does not seem to be enough, Margo can refile with FEMA. Thanksgiving is coming up and Dad is thinking about leaving on Sunday or perhaps Monday. I am looking into a small Uhaul trailer and with our truck we can pack up a few things to move with. It is really far too early to be making long range living plans for Dad but it appears we will set up our downstairs apartment at Neptune Beach Fl as a home base for him. He has talked about wanting to visit the West Coast Strachans including Hawaii. We cant get in until Dec. 1 and Dad has said he would drive to our daughter Collins' house in Dothan Alabama for a few days then meet us at the beach. Our camper and big hunkin' dually is at our daughter Darci's home in Griffin GA about an hour south of Atlanta. There is no room in her inn because Darci and John share the home with John's mother Malone. We can sleep 3 comfortably in our camper and depending what time of day we arrive in GA Dad may need to stay with us before heading off to Collins about 4 hours away. Things as you can imagine are still up in the air but moving forward. Thanks so much for your prayers and support. Sorry no pics again.
