We are at the Good Sam Camping Club Rally at the Daytona International Speedway home of the famed Daytona 500. The weather has been beautiful and they are expecting 3500 rigs here. We walked the vendor booths and bought some needed items, went to seminars and had both lunch and dinner. The big event of the day was the Kenny Rogers concert last night. We like Kenny Rogers and I remember playing many of his songs on the radio when I was a DJ. We are dry camping and have use of our generator if needed. Don and Jeanne picked a site with electric. They are actually camping in the infield of the racetrack and we are in one of the parking lots. Tonight the headliner is Reba McEntire! On the home front there is a bit of confusion as to what the next steps are for Dad and Herta. My Father is an extremely loyal man and also one who does not want to have advise from "young people". This disaster with their home has caused some family angst and with all that is going on perhaps there are decisions being made under great duress. My brother Glenn is going to Long Island either Sunday or Monday and Shirley and I are going to drive up late in the week to see if we can be of some kind of assistance. We need to go through a number of hoops to get there as we are getting Shirley's small truck back from our daughter Collins in Alabama Monday but it needs to be registered in Florida. We were going to do that as we voted in Crestview but we may need to pass that up and go across the Florida border and register the truck on Monday. Then drive our camper to Darci's house in Griffin GA to store it. Then we will drive up to NY. It should take about 2 days however there are gas shortages in the metro NY area. Should be an adventure. We will keep you up to date. Enjoy the pics.
