Bob and Shirley's Great Adventure 2011-12 travel blog

All tucked in at a real campground tonight

Don and Jeanne relaxin' at home

Shirley doing the laundry

Well it WAS the first of November after all. We left our comfy Walmart parking lot none the worse after a yummy breakfast at Bob Evans and decided to take A1A along the coast south the Daytona Beach. The Good Sam Rally starts Friday at the Daytona Raceway so we wanted to be close-by to be able to just drive in. We are in a private campground with Don and Jeanne (Again! What's up with those people?). We haven't seen them since we left Cape Cod over a month ago. Anyway we hung out today and walked to lunch and dinner. Don and I played pool since it wasn't really nice enough to go in the pool. Shirley and Jeanne got caught up with each other. We watched a little TV, Shirley did laundry (yes I helped) and I am doing the blog tonight rather than in the morning because we are leaving at 9 AM to go to the rally. We also have one night of free Internet connection here. The environmental people are still working on Dad and Herta's house. They have all the tile and drywall off and out and are drilling around the house to do soil samples. They should be taking the oil tank that ruptured out tomorrow. They house needs a new furnace and tank. Not sure how that will bet inside. The company thinks the earliest they could be back in is the beginning of December so we'll wait and see. My brother Glenn says he will be up from Maryland this weekend to lend what ever hand he can. We will let some time go by and after the election determine what to do. The electric is to be turned back on Saturday morning to the areas of Freeport that have been without it since the storm which includes Dad and Herta and Herta's grand daughter's house. Thanks for your continued thoughts, prayers and comments. Enjoy the pics.
