View over Glencar Lough, where we stopped for lunch

Another pretty view

The morning was overcast and looked like rain when we headed out of Cong. The driving was very scenic through lots of green fields and stone walls, quaint cottages and abandoned stone buildings. The first part of the trip was on narrow country roads, but then we hit the N17 to Sligo and then the N16. We stopped for cheese and crackers for lunch on a pretty stretch of road after Sligo overlooking Glencar Lough and then continued on to Rushin House Campground (BT93 5DU) in Belcoo, where we are overlooking a lake, the middle of which marks the boundary of the Republic of Ireland with Northern Ireland. We are just inside Northern Ireland. The rain never arrived!
