After spending three windy, rainy nights in Brandon (Sioux Falls) the rain finally stopped on Friday morning. We left the park and headed west into a 20-25mph headwind all the way to the Oasis Campground in Oacoma. It took us almost three hours when normally it would have been around two and a half hours. By the time we got to Oacoma, the sky had cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon.
The RV park was full of hunters all dressed in camo. I asked someone what they were hunting and found out that Saturday was opening day for pheasant season.
Although we had a nice view of the Missouri River, we were parked right next to the interstate with trucks and traffic all night long. Neither one of us got a good night sleep. Tomorrow we head for Mt. Rushmore.
