Looking from Eucla caravan park to sea

Eucla Pass & dash

7th October

After a disturbed night with trucks boring down the highway,we are up early to see the sunrise.

Breakfast was finished and we were on the road just after 6:30. We are fighting the winds once again, strong ENE to E winds and of course we are heading East. The trip has been both interesting and very boring. Stopping at Cocklebiddy for fuel, we decided it looks very rundown from when we stopped here 30 years ago. Diesel was $1:95, the real shock was 20 Litres of water costing $65:OO.

Our next stop was Mandura for a rest and look at the golf course. Greg was tempted but his shoulder is coming good and didn't want to risk it.

Travelling on we have arrived at Eucla and will spend the night here. The caravan park is $20 a night and $1 for showers very reasonable. The police have done a drive through this afternoon and gave us a wave so we should have no dramas.

Fingers crossed, when we ring the Wattos tomorrow, that news is good & we will be able to reunite & continue our trip.
