Yesterday we made our first trip into Yellowstone Park. I took 490 pics, oh my!!! So, it will be a few days before I post any of those as I have to narrow them down significantly, resize & label them. It's a job! In the meantime I'll share a few pics taken here at our RV park & a few taken this afternoon across the highway at Henry's Lake. As I mentioned earlier, we have friends that have a seasonal home on the lake. It's actually 3 sisters that share the family home that was inherited when both parents passed. We weren't sure if any of them were currently here & were pleasantly surprised to find Bill & Martha Jane in residence. They live 7 months of the year in the Bahamas & have a 5th wheel permanently parked in North Carolina as well. We last saw them in 2006 although we've seen the other two since then. It was a nice visit & they've done quite a bit of remodeling since we were last here. The one thing that hasn't changed is the beautiful view of Henry's Lake from the rear of their property. The backyard walks right up to the lakes edge. Beautiful!

This morning we spent a couple of hours at Big Springs which is a nice, peaceful location to visit. It's just a few miles down U.S. 20 to the turnoff & then just another 4 1/2 miles. So, we decided to take a break today from all the long hours of driving & do the springs, visit our friends & then drive into West Yellowstone to view a film at Imax. We chose the one entitled 'Yellowstone'. It wasn't at all what I expected but was quite good & well done. There were only about 20 folks in the theater so we had great seats! It was beginning to sprinkle when we came out & rained lightly all the way home. In fact, it's raining as I write this. I sure hope it moves on by tomorrow morning as we have a full day planned. Guess we'll go on our day trip either way, as we move on Wednesday morning. Time to hit the sack, gotta get up early :)
