Heading South for Winter travel blog

Camden – what a lovely place. I was a bit hesitant about getting so close to Sydney but Camden is far enough away to think you’re in the country. Actually, it was country as there were sheep and cattle across the road from our park and horses just up the road.

We met up with my cousin Trevor and his wife Robyn and twins Lachlan and Alexandra (16). Trevor drove us around Camden and was a great tour guide. Robyn also cooked us a beaut lamb dinner on Saturday night. Thanks to both. We had a lovely time with them and look forward to seeing them up north again one day.

Sunday my penfriend arrived for the day – and what a day! We talked non-stop. Rhonda and I have been writing for over 50 years although it’s only once a year with the Christmas card now. This is the second time we’ve met up with each other.

We were due to leave Monday but woke up and decided the day was too good to spend travelling so we stayed another day. We totally enjoyed our time in Camden.
