It was a bit "frosty" yesterday. No the weather was beautiful with sun and the high of 80. As we were running out of room in Vermont the Robert Frost homestead and museum was on our agenda. More scenic driving took us to South Shaftsbury to the Frost Stone House. He and his family lived in this house for 18 years and it is where he wrote perhaps his most famous poem "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening". We learned all about this man who was the US and Vermont Poet Lauriat. I can remember when he died in 1963. We had a bit of a mishap with the truck on our way as we hit a curb and ruined the right rear tire. While inside the Frost home I found a guide book for the area and found a service station less than a mile away. A very nice man changed the tire. We needed to take the camper off but it all worked out fine. We stopped for lunch in Shaftsbury at a cute country store and were on our way. One final stop was the Robert Frost gravesite in Bennington VT. Then we drove over the Connecticut River into New Hampshire. This time we will be heading North up the state as the trees are showing more color. I have noticed lately that we have been spending more money on camping than we like so last night we pulled into a Passport America campground (50% off) and we have a fantastic site for just $16.50. And finally, today is our 18 month trip anniversary. Yup, a year and a half on the road. It is hard to believe that we have been out this long. We are still enjoying ourselves, haven't tired of the road or each other. I will do the statistics tonight and share them with you tomorrow. No time for them today because "I have miles to go before I sleep". Enjoy the pics.
