We left Maine today, and started our trip back out West. Since we are feeling like we have some experience now, we decided to try boondocking for the first night. This means finding a Walmart parking lot that is along our route, and camping there. David called the location ahead of time to ensure that they allowed overnight parking (not all of them do).
So, with permission, we pulled in around 10 pm, left the trailer hooked up to the truck, put out the bedroom glide, and slept the night away. No water, power or sewer hookup. No backing in or leveling. Just stop, let the cat out of his carrier, grab a bowl of cereal, and get to sleep. It wasn't so bad, and saved us money (which is a good thing!)
Therefore, I say, "Thank you, Walmart." We are now refreshed, and heading towards Buffalo, NY.
