Tuesday 3rd July ,
As we left Port from Panteleria I couldn't wait to see Hammamet , wasn't sure what to expect , but wow a beautiful surprise ! Marina Yasmine in Hammamet is by far one of the nicest ports be our bert was no 1623 right in the middle of the cafe's , souviner shops , little shisha bars that had karaoke and music.
The Marian was so alive with people walking, during sunset and till late too !! As soon as we arrived we headed for lunch to a restaurant close by called Boulebaise ! Great traditional food ,We had lamb which came served in a clay jug that got smashed in front of us by the chef. This restaurant is just minutes away as you are heading to the main road right in front of the taxi stands. We made friends with a Local 26 yr old Tunisian boy called Iman who was really helpful, he helped us get to the right places for bread and milk ecc , he will also sort us with drivers the next time we get back.
The next day we ventured out and got a taxi that took us to the Old Medina , where there is a beautiful beach , Mosk and heaps of little shops for souviners and bargaining . We ate at a really good restaurant what is on top of the Medina giving the view of everything around you , the fish there is a must have, and their traditions ratatouille and brick is amazing as a starter , they gave a local wine called night and day blue bottle !
Taxi from Marina back and forth is 7 dinars each time and ride is 10 minutes away :)))
This place is so amazing in the evening as we sit at the Aft just chilling , with platters and wine and just enjoying the passers by taking pics of the the boat and all of them having to stop and see the effect the lights of under the boat and watching the fish eating algi ..
