We left Bangor and traveled west on Highway 2. The first 150 miles were very rough, but then it smoothed out and the rest of Maine was quite a nice drive. We passed at least 50 garage or yard sales and I tried to talk Nancy into stopping, but she wouldn’t do it. We did stop at one little town that had a flea market. I think it was a retired biker’s town, because they had mostly leather and weird whatnots. They did have a mural on one of the buildings, so I had to get a picture of that! It was painted by a local artist and represented “veterans and those on the home front who sacrificed for God and country during world wars and conflicts.”
We drove on into Berlin, New Hampshire, and stayed at Walmart. We had a nice view of the New Hampshire hills.
