We left St. John early and drove to St. Stephen where we crossed the border from Canada to U.S. Sandy and Diana left us there to travel on to The Hamptons in New York to visit some friends. It was a sad parting, because we all have had such a great time together.
Nancy and I drove on to Bangor, Maine, where she had her van serviced (oil change) and we stopped at a nice campground nearby. We actually washed the rigs (well, Nancy actually did most of the work). We joined the rest of the campground residents for an ice cream social and now I’m trying to catch up on the journal.
Nancy and I are starting our journey back to the Midwest through New Hampshire and Vermont, then back into Canada and down through Michigan. Trying to stay as far north as we can. It was hot today in Bangor (95 degrees). We’re hoping cooler weather in New Hampshire tomorrow.
