Our next stop was the the Avon Duct Tape Festival. The festival honors the heritage of the city that is called the "Duct Tape Capital" of the world. It is the home of Duck brand duct tape. We weren't exactly sure what to expect when we got there.
As we wandered the festival grounds we saw the bus that crosses America. There must be other Duck Tape festivals!
We took a bunch of pictures of fashions made from Duck Tape. Not quite sure who would ever wear it as it would have to be REALLY hot!
Chance Foreman from Denton, Texas is really an artist and he did all kinds of neat artwork using duck tape. They really looked good! From far away, they looked like oil paintings.
We took a look in the crafting tent. Everyone was working on individual projects in Duck Tape. Looked like families were having a lot of fun with it. Outside the tent was a stand showing all the colors of duck tape. I couldn't believe there were that many.
We missed the parade as it was pretty early this morning, but we found all the floats lined up at the end of the festival grounds so I took some pictures of them. Some of them were pretty creative!
