Grizzly Lake RV Park. Very nice park!! We’re about 6 miles from Nabesna Rd. which is the only other road into Wrangell-St.Elias Natl Park. The map location I put in is actually a little further down the road, but the exact location wouldn't come up. We have a site right on a lake. The people here are really nice. We went for a drive out to Nebesna Rd. and when we got back from our drive we found fresh firewood in the fire pit (it was a very nice touch even though we never build campfires). All we can see from our window is lake. What a treat after some of the other parks we’ve stayed at. However, it does have its down side. No hookups and no wifi. Actually, we could go up to a tent in the middle of a grassy area and sit at a picnic bench and get wifi. John went up and checked email, but I’m not going to sit there with the mosquitoes. The sun has been out all day!! We actually got a little hot in the car. When we took the short drive on the Nabesna Rd. today we saw a mama moose and 1 baby munching on the side of the road. It was like Chris’s elk – I’d had my eyes closed (just checking things out behind my lids) and I opened them and there they were! We backed up slowly and they moved a little but kept munching away. It’s now after dinner and the sun is still out. The lake looks so peaceful. Tomorrow we plan to take a hike off Nebesna Rd. and then drive to Tok – if we don’t change plans in the morning.
