If there is a place for summer it is Vermilion Ohio. We have been here a number of times in the summer and this would be a great place for a summer home. Boats, beaches and water everywhere (Lake Erie). We had a BF'er Banquet not far from here a few years ago and we really like this area. Tom and I strolled the quaint downtown area of Vermilion inclucing the beach. We stopped for root beer floats and drove around some beautiful areas as we waited for his Shiley to come home from work. My Shirley did laundry and a craft she is working on. After work was done we all crossed the road and went to Tom and Shirley's association beach. Only Shirley Mann and I went swimming but it was very nice as the temps topped 90. Tom and Shirley tooks us all into Sandusky to dinner at Famous Dave's Restaurant which is chain Bar B Q place and it was right on the water in a marina. We drove around the Cedar Point Amusement Park (huge) and then headed to the old Lyman Boat factory which was suppossed to be highlighted with great wooden boats. There were two. A bit disapointing but the factory space has been made into banquet halls and they had two going last night. We came home and watched One for the Money, a movie based on a Janet Evonovich Stephany Plumb novel. I really enjoyed it since I have read many of her books with Stephany Plumb as the main character. Well another summer day awaits. Off to church with Tom and Shirley soon. Enjoy the pics.
