This morning was rainy and cool. The Air Force started early this morning as the jets thundered overhead shortly after 7AM.

I went on base in the morning. I stopped at the Base Exchange and got a haircut and then looked around the exchange. I went to the base library to use the Internet and found out they are closed on Monday’s.

I drove to the North Pole and ate lunch at McDonalds while I uploaded yesterday’s blog and pictures. Afterwards I drove around the North Pole and stopped at the Santa Claus House. Got postcards and mailed them to the grandchildren. They assured me they would have the North Pole Post Office stamp on them.

Around 2:30PM it started clearing up and also warming up. I went to a couple of kennels to see where to kennel my dog during my trip later this week to the Arctic Ocean. I put 3.573 gallons of unleaded in the SUV at $4.199 a gallon. I will fill up tomorrow in Fairbanks. After choosing the kennel and making arrangements to drop her off at 06:45AM on Wednesday morning and picking her up on Saturday evening after my return I came back to the RV.

Dinner in the RV.

53.2 SUV miles today.
