Daughter Sarah

I am behind in my blogging, but what happened today for JC is so exciting I have to blog about it right now!

JC is a father to two girls born some 33 and 31 years ago. After a divorce, their mother did remarry. The girls asked JC to give up his paternal rights and let them be adopted by Keith whom they called their father. For the sake of the girls he let them go.

It has been 25 years. JC had been in touch with his ex-mother in law a couple of times over the years. Her name is Beverly too. A couple of years ago she forwarded our blog address and info to the girls. As the story goes as near as I know it, Sarah, the youngest, was cleaning out some papers or something and came across the letter from her grandmother and the information about JC and me and Sarah started reading our blog.

Sarah decided to reach out and sent JC an email today to say hello. She wrote that she is married with a little girl 1 1/2 yrs. old. and wished him a Happy Father's Day, and included her phone number! JC immediately called and left a message on her answering machine. He walked around for the next couple of hours with his phone in his hand. LOL Sarah called JC back late this afternoon. I am so thrilled for JC, I can't stop crying.

JC always hoped that someday he would hear from them. I can't think of any better Father's Day gift than this for any Dad. Thank you Sarah. We are looking forward to meeting you and your beautiful family.

Oh, did I mention....JC is a grandpa of very pretty little girl named, Alexia, who is 1 1/2 years old. What a great day.

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there.

JC and I are currently visiting my baby brother, Steve, and his great girlfriend, Cindy. I will blog about what a wonderful visit we have had later.
