|What a whirlwind yesterday was. I did not have time to blog. It's about 9 AM as I sit in the gazebo watching the kids pack up to go home, the lamb is grazing next to me. Where to begin. Shirley worked on making wooden shelving for the warehouse and I took the big honkin' dually to the doctor. We are is a very remote area and to get to a Ford dealer it took me an hour and a half. I was captive but the dealer was in an area with lots of stores and eating places. I needed two new batteries, an oil change, transmission flush and differential fluid change. Pretty pricey but it needed doing. By the time I got back to camp it was a 9 hour day. But the day was just beginning. The various camps and counselors had talent night at the chapel. It was fantastic. Some very talented kids and young adults and funny, oh my we laughed. Following that was what they call creek side. Every day the kids work on the weeks religious theme. It culminates with the creek side service. A fire is set up in the middle of the creek, the cross has candles on it. Luminaries light the path over the covered bridge. The kids file in and there is a short age relevant sermon followed by communion. It was very powerful. We wrapped up the day about 11 PM. What a neat experience this whole week has been. We are staying through Wednesday. I am working a half day today (not sure what Shirley's plans are). We are off tomorrow. We have been left with the keys to the pool since everyone is leaving for the weekend (returning Sunday late afternoon). So we have camp to ourselves. Enjoy the pics.
