|Yesterday we traveled through the rest of Illinois, Indiana, and most of Ohio. The roads in Indiana were absolutely horrible! Everything in the rig took a beating.
We stayed last night in Dillon Park outside of Newark, Ohio. It was a very nice state park. We cooked filet mignons on the outside grill and had fresh corn on the cob and baked potatoes. Yum, Yum.
Today we visited the Longaberger Basket Corporate headquarters, the largest basket in the world. See the picture of Nancy holding up Corporate headquarters. We toured the Longaberger Basket Homestead where they have an incredible store for basket displays and some for sale. Anybody who loves baskets would go crazy in this place! We had lunch at the restaurant - I had liver and onions and Nancy had homemade noodles on top of mashed potatoes. We both took homemade pies with us for later. Did I say we were eating well?
After the tour, we started on to Pennsylvania on a road that looked like a shortcut to where we were going. It had to be the crookedest road in Pennsylvania! Who says PA doesn't have mountains?
We are staying at a Passport campground in Mercer, Pennsylvania, tonight. It is raining and has cooled off.
We are having a good time and Heidi has been super good!
