The ball?

The girls headed to the thrift store yesterday and dropped me off at the ball park to watch the half rubber tournament. My brother in law Jack showed me an article in the Savannah paper the other day about a half rubber tournament. I had never heard of it before but it is a kind of baseball game played with four aside. The pitcher throws a solid rubber ball that is cut in half (half rubber). The batter uses a special bat but it will suffice to say it is about as big as a thick broom stick. As you can imagine the pitcher can do amazing things with the ball and it is very hard to hit. The game is played in three innings. It was very interesting to watch. After the thrift stores were all accomplished the four of us went to dinner. The weather was beautiful so we ate outside and had a wonderful time. Shirley woke up this morning a bit under the weather and went to the doc in the box for some medicine. Rest and fluids are the course of the action. We are to get back on the road today so looks like I will be driving. Enjoy the pics.
