We are at the Evergreen Coho SKP in Chimacum, Wa. This is located near the Olympic National Park. This national park is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north. This strait is what separates Washington State from Canada. Chimacum is close to Port Townsend which is located on the Puget Sound.

Evergreen is a very nice park. It is surrounded by large fir trees. Visiting RVer's have to get creative to get a satellite signal. Since it rains a lot, TV becomes more of an issue. :>)

It rained all the day our first day. Today, however, brought us a mostly dry, sunny day with some clouds. It was definitely chilly, but dressed right and the day was awesome.

Our excursion today was to Seattle. I have never been there. I have had a dream since I was a little girl to visit the Space Needle and got to the top. Well, it has taken a while, but I did it today. I kind of laugh because I managed to see and go to the top of the Eiffel Tower some 20 years ago. And now, I finally, get to have this dream come true. Somehow it was not as big as I was expected....that is the little girl remembering her dream.

It was quite and adventure just getting to and from Seattle. It was almost just as much fun. We took 2 ferries to get to Seattle. We boarded at Port Townsend to Whidbey Island. Drove about 20 miles to the next ferry. We took the ferry out of Edmonton to Port to get home. What is really funny is that it took us almost 4 hours with a half hour stop to get home. We could have driven it in a hour or so, but what fun would that have been.

We are visiting the area a little early in the season, so many exhibits in the Space Needle Center are not open yet. However, they are preparing to celebrate the Space Needle's 50th Anniversary. Some of the coming attractions look really interesting.

We saw an interesting film all about earth and it's place in the universe. It was interesting and some of the photography was very cool. More interesting was the app we found out about called "Back in Time". It is $8.00 on iTunes, but worth every penny. Check it out.

The last place we visited was a house boat community on Lake Union. You can the the Space Needle off in the distance. This little community is very eclectic, a little artsy. It is a much nicer community than what I have seen in the San Francisco/Sausalito area in California. We are seriously thinking of trying to rent one for a summer to see if we might enjoy spending summers here when we decide to get off the road.
