South Kaibab Trailhead

Outcropping at Ohh Aah point

View from Ohh Aah Point

On 4/8/12 we met at the Phoenix airport for the trip to the Grand Canyon area. Our first hike that afternoon is the Kaibab Trail. It was late afternoon so we did a quick in and out from the Kaibab trail head, past Ooh Aah point to Cedar Ridge (about 3 miles round trip). It was a pretty gradual slope climb. Fairly easy on a well maintained trail.Started at 7200ft at the rim, Cedar Ridge is at 6100. Because it is one of the easier hikes at the Grand Canyon, it was somewhat crowded, especially at Ohh Aah Point which is aptly named it is a beautiful view!
