Well, I caught that darn flu that's going around, apparently all over the country. After 48 miserable hours I am finally back on the road to recovery. On the plus side, I've lost 4 1/2 pounds, lol. Of course, I know that won't last, but I think I'll be using it as a kick-start to 'work' on my recent over-indulgences. I've slowly inched up a few pounds a month since arriving in Vegas. I unpacked our summer clothes a few days ago and discovered most of them were much 'snugger' than when I packed them away at the beginning of winter. Bummer....That's a ditto for Larry too. Time to get busy on exercising & eating a bit better.
The wind has been blowing hard for the past couple of days. We've been rocking & rolling, always worries me a bit because our front end is jacked up so high. Larry assures me that we "weigh way too" much to blow off our jacks. Sure hope he's right. We had a bit of rain yesterday & it was also predicted for today but so far it's dry as a bone. It's only 51 degrees at 12:40pm but it feels like 40 with the wind chill...brrrr. Now that's a cool day here in the desert. But I see it will be back into the high 70's by the end of the week before we head out. I think we're leaving a week from tomorrow. Destination still questionable due to fuel prices but I believe it will be California. I'll let you know when we know, lol!
And finally, today is my Aunt Toot's '80 something' birthday. It's not nice to tell a ladies age you know, lol. Her real name is Ann, but everyone calls her Toots.
Why you might say? Well, I don't know & in all these years I've never bothered to ask! And to make it even stranger, some pronounce it Toot's, like toot your horn, and other's pronounce it Toot's, like tootsie pop or "what's up Toot's?". I just know she is my beloved Aunt! I know she checks in on our blog regularly so if you are reading this today honey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you are having a great day and we love you very much :)
