JMU Women's Soccer travel blog

Hello All! Sorry it has been so long since I have been able to update the blog. I was having issues logging on to the website, but now we are back! Day two consisted of an early morning wake up call and two different trips for the team. The majority of the team headed towards the Caribbean Coast to go white water rafting on the Pacuare River. This site is one of the top rafting spots in the world and the world championships were held there last year. Unfortunately, an unexpected heavy rain during dry season created a dangerous situation and the location was changed to a second river. Despite the set back, the girls still had a great time going down the river, rain and shine. The rest of the group had a boat trip scheduled that was also cancelled due to rough seas. Instead, the handful of girls hung out by the pool and spent some time in a hot tub. When we returned from the day trips we spent some time in the local national park. Originally the park had been the San Jose airport, but now it has been converted into a great place to spend an afternoon. After a few pictures on the policia horse, some paddle boating, and some frisbee, the girls headed back to the hotel to prepare for dinner. Dinner was in downtown San Jose and the food was absolutely delicious! In fact, every girl has been clearing her plate at every meal because of how wonderful the Costa Rican food has been. An after dinner stroll around the downtown area and a very full day but fun day was complete.
