Bob and Shirley's Great Adventure 2011-12 travel blog

Great scenery

Some areas were wooded

Some had water on both sides

There were bridges

And more bridges

Houses on the water

And houses off the water

Even cattle

I hope there's another side

Intracoastal waterway

Yup, another bridge

We're not even in Vermilion Ohio

Very pretty

Just one more bridge and we'll be there

Anyone for a boat ride

After a really great Sunday School and Church service we three went back to Carolyn and Gordon's house (sans them)and had a very nice and relaxing lunch. We bade Marcy goodbye and headed to Baldwin LA where Sager-Brown is located. We will be working this week where supplies are put together for disasters in the US and worldwide. It is a United Methodist organization. We decided to use the map today since it seemed pretty straight forward even though we were not going to take the interstate. The trip was to be 1 1/2 to 2 hours max. We left at 2:10 pm. Is this starting to sound a little like Gilligan's Island? We were following the route from our map and all of a sudden the road changed numbers. By the time we figured out where we were and decided to let the GPS guide us we were FAR out of our way. Talk about the long cut. We needed to check in between 3 and 5 and be at a group meeting at 6. We were NOT making the check in. We pulled into the parking lot at 5:58 pm and walked into the meeting as it began. Nearly 4 hours. But the trip was very scenic and on the coast. Just a bit hectic. More on Sager-Brown tomorrow. Enjoy the pics.
