Yes we are in San Antonio home of the Alamo, River Walk and the NBA Spurs. We are on another NOMADS project. This time a "drop in" where we are only working for a week (4 days)at the Methodist Mission Home. NOMADS only work Monday thru Thursday so we will get to visit the sites Friday. On our way here we stopped at Ft. Clark Springs in Brackettville TX. It was really neat and the fort was in use from the late 1850's thru 1946. A private corporation purchased it and now it's a planned community. Lots of great buildings. One was the commissary with a large parking area. After we finished viewing, I did a K turn to get back on the road. I had a hitch hiking power cord however and before I knew it the cord was stuck on our roof rack and the rack holding the meter was pulled off the backboard attached to the building and was laying on the ground. After I got the wire off the camper it dropped to the ground blocking part of the road. After a number of people looked at it my fate was decided.......enjoy the rest of your day. They had been trying to get the power company to install a pole to raise the wire. It appears the pole is now on its way. Whew!!! Then we tried to go see the Alamo but could only get a picture since there was no place to park the rig. Instead, we headed to our NOMAD site and got all hooked up (full hook ups at the special NOMAD price of $0.00). We will be doing a variety of things around this campus. There are 3 other couples who are in for the 3 weeks. More tomorrow on what we are doing. Enjoy the pics.
