There is a singing group I like called Little Texas. The title is their signature song. Today was a travel day, about 180 miles or so. Not long by many standards but long by ours. We are in Ft. Stockton Texas in a nondescript campground. It is only $10 a night for full hookups.....so God bless Texas. We did go to see the fort. Interestingly, it was a federal fort just after being built to protect the settlers. When the Civil War broke out the fort was abandoned. After the war the "locals" complained about the the constant Indian attacks and the Feds came back. The fort is reconstructed from the original foundations and was very interesting. Overcast today and high only in the low 50's but an enjoyable journey. Enjoy the pics.
