Hello all,

We are now in the Mekong-side town of Kratie. It's very hot and sticky here but good in the shade with a cool drink. We plan to go and see some fresh-water dolphins, which I thought for a moment that I didn't know existed. Then I remembered the TV show Flipper, so there. Apparently they are called Irrawaddy Dolphins. There is also a nearby island on the Mekong where you can sunbathe on the beach and swim whilst locals living in floating villages stare at you in wonder at daft foreigners.

We've booked in to a decent hotel, well for 4 quid a night you can't moan. It's en-suite with hot water, a TV and decent beds and a fan. Hot showers are almost as good as the free Premier League football you get here. Usually four matches to choose from on the TV in your room, no need to pay for SKY or go to the pub here for any game hehe. 4 quid!

We are now decided that Cambodia is the best place we have visited so far. So come to CAMBODIA!!!!!

Much love C & P xx

Hello all,

We found out that you can see the dolphins in Laos so we are waiting until we get there. We visited an island on the Mekong today and hired some cycles. The beach was huge almost desert like, but a cool dip was welcome after a long cycle round the island and a chase on foot from a fishing boat's guard dog.

We are making a diversion from our plan to go straight from here to Laos. We found out about a place called Ban Lung where you can swim in a volcano and there are great waterfalls. So, here we come!

Much love C & P xx
