We are in Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction AZ. Haven't gone to the Lost Dutchman museum yet but from what I gather it refers to a hidden gold mine somewhere in the Superstition Mountains. After finding the campgrounds full in this area due to the time of year we headed to the overflow area of the State Park after visiting with yet another of Shirley's cousins Gloria. Low and behold when I pulled in I asked if there were any cancellations and they said WOW are you lucky, we just had a cancellation a few minutes ago. What a beautiful place with scenery to knock your socks off. The biggest campsite we have ever been in and the cost is reasonable at $25 per night with electric and water. Great hiking and biking. Looks like we will be here a day longer than we set out for. The service engine light came on in the big honkin' dually. I took it in today and the fix can't be done until Monday. The only problem is we are probably going to need to pack the camper back on the truck and move it Sunday night since there is someone who has reserved this spot for Monday. It will all work out. Enjoy the pics.
