Well that's what we were today. I try to pay cash for our entertainment but today was more than I had so we charged it. The trolley is just at the end of our campground and it is a wonderful way to get around. We met this couple from the Canadian side of the Thousand Islands (St. Lawrence Seaway) at the trolley stop and we paled around all day. Ray and Jenny are very interesting folks and we enjoyed their company. We took a hop on hop off bus tour of San Diego. Our first side trip was to the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. It is really huge and it took us over 2 hours to take the self guided audio tour of this floating city. Built in 1945 it saw action in Korea and Vietnam and is now an anchored museum. We got back on and stopped for lunch in the Gas Lamp Quarter of the city. Lots of history here. Then we just road the bus through its next stops heading to Coronado then back to the beginning to Old Town. We toured the old town section which is a California State Park. Very interesting with old buildings housing shops and restaurants. This is where San Diego began. Took the Trolley back to our campground and caught our breath. Tomorrow it is the famed San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. We plan on staying a few more days here. The weather is beautiful. They average 300 days of sun shine a year. Enjoy the pics.
