Breakfast, Arepas with Chicken & Orange Jiuce

Caracas High Street

Caracas High Street 2

An average nights sleep but out by 10.0am and time to explore as my driver is picking me up at 1.0pm to take me to the bus stop for my 3.45pm 22hr journey to Santa Elena.

Breakfast was at a little cafe across the road. No Special K or yogurt here, it's all deep fried so i settled for Arepas with chicken which is a maiz based roll filled with chicken and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Pretty good but the maiz fills you up big time. Then i went for a walk down the main shopping drag, the weather was about 30 degrees. So nice to be able to walk round in that heat, I love the temperature out here. The city itself is in a large valley with green mountains on all sides which at night looks pretty scarey. The people are FAT here, all that deep fried food, pizzas, kfc and McD's is starting to show. Anyway off for a quick shower then my next marathon coach trip.. Speak soon
