|We are at the shores of Shasta Lake. We both swear this was called Whiskey-Shasta lake 35 years ago. But again y'all know about memory losses as we get older. Interesting day was had by this vagabond couple. We went to the doctor. Shirley's 4th visit on the trip and my first. Ear infection (what did you say?) for her and a sinus infection for moi. Nice experience and pretty fast too. Got the drugs we need and are back on the road. Decided to take it easy today and head just 20 miles north to a campground with a laundry. Even us hearty campers needs our clean clothing and showers now and again. What a time we had. First campground was closed for renovations. There was another down the road. Way down. And down and down to the river. Only to find this National Forest campground closed for the season! We started our adventure again and drove down this road and down this road and down this road to the other side of the river. Voila! A full service campground WITH laundry and hookups. Not only do we have clean clothes but we have a clean big honkin' dually and camper!!! I am expecting to get at least another 1/2 mile to the gallon now. We looked like pig pen of Peanuts fame. All is well with us. We are on the mend and looking forward to wearing shorts tomorrow as the temps for the next two days are going to be in the mid 80's. Sorry no pics today but tomorrow for sure. Thanks for reading. Even with sniffles and sore ears we continue to have the best time and are enjoying every minute. Wouldn't trade places with anyone. PS out friends Don and Jeanne have finished their journey (you have read of them before here). They are back in Davenport Florida with their feet up......sort of. We had a GREAT time together.
