Sept 13th....

Wow what a great day.....slept in late again....David no where to be found when I ventured downstairs,Ethan still snoozing.....had shower got changed and made some breakie on my own...

David came through the front door with take away latte and a smile on his face.....he had walked into town and been to the market and shops....without me!!!

Ethan woke had breakie and David dashed off after a mysterious phone call??

He said he would be in town ....E and I had an idea where so made our way into town , not even ten minute walk...lovely area,if I lived in Uk I would call Glastonbury home! For sure...

We saw the market set up in the square...I feel like I am at St Andrews market crossed with Byron Bay without the sun! Or beach....or warmth.... Ha ha

The atmosphere here is great, lots of interesting people and freaky people....great people watching time....

Colorful shops and clothes everywhere...

We happened to get some food and coffee and sat in the market for While as we had found David,he was in the Twilight zone! It is a tattoo shop! He is getting the tattoo he has always wanted...

Ethan and I checked out the market stalls,I actually spent some money today...bought a top, cause I was cold and a bracelet, more jewelry!

Not a lot but a start! I am yet to explore the mutitude of shops here...

We have nicely spent the last couple of days not rushing around.it has been great....

We went and sat with David awhile,it looks brilliant not what I thought he was getting but better....

When he finished in Twilight Zone,we all went through the streets exploring the shops on the way home to the

cottage,I found a great second hand shop and bought a dress it is beautiful...apparently a very expensive brand here! Not a usual color I would chose but it is lovely and wow what a price... And found an antique beaded bag that I have a collection of at home...quite the bargain hunter today,,,,

We came home ,made lunch.Ethan glued to two and a half men on tv so we left him watching that as we

headed out for the big climb to the Tor,we are in such a great spot here,it is about five minutes to the Chalice Well and the gate to the fields under the Tor....

Camera in hand off we adventurer and came across the White Spring which is behind the Chalice Well flowing freely for anyone to fill up their bottles.I had a drink,it was so cold...

the red Spring is in the Chalice Well Gardens we drank that the other day..

On the way up to the Tor we crossed through a gate and a field to get to the path mAde up too the top....

Wow wow wow, what a view, and wow windy! Yeh!! Could hardly stand still without getting blown over.

The sheep on the way up looked at us, and ran away when David said he was a butcher!

We arrived at the top it was amazing,I think the most amazing thing of my holiday so far! it is such an awesome feeling being so high up and the wind blowing on your face and knowing the history makes it so special

As we walked into the Tor and looked up you could see the sky through the top with the clouds moving so fast it was unreal.

We couldn't help but think of the last Abbott of Glastonbury in 1539 who was dragged up here by king Henry v111 to be hung drawn and quatered what was he thinking on the way up there...it is quite a feat to get up to the Tor and there would have been no paths made then....poor poor man...and ironically he would have looked down on his town and seen his Glastonbury Abbey beneath him in the valley....

We also can envision the tale of Avalon the mists rolling in below the Tor creating a valley of mist making the area so magical....what a very special place on earth....

I just love it....Am coming back here again tomorrow and we shall have a picnic here....Weather permitting...

We made our way down the Tor and the sun was poking through the loads looked great...

We found 2 only dandelions to make a wish each...

I also found a white feather nearby....nothing special but I met a girl yesterday and she told me she collects white feathers and has a huge box of them,as she believes that each white feather is a feather from an angel!

I thought that was lovely...she said her husband thinks she is mad!Maybe but what a beautiful thought so I am keeping this one!

We came back to the cottage, having dinner and getting easy for our handfasting tomorrow...how exciting...

We are all ready and my dress has survived the suitcase trips,it was very scrunched up...

I ironically had it made in Uk by a lady not far from here who posted it to me in Oz...it was so reasonably priced and different that I took the chance on it...

I wanted to bring the dress mum made me for our wedding but it would have spoilt and I just couldn't manage to squeeze in it even though I tried hard, lost 12 kilo not enough....I think I would have fit in it actuallly now as I have lost a little more over here, never mind...hope mum doesn't mind..!!

Since we have been here I have dreamt of mum so many times and she talks to me,it is quite unreal as it is all

so clear when I wake up...I miss her so much..

Ok going now to get our gear ready.....speak tomorrow....xxxxxxx
