Yesterday we split into two groups. Shirley drove into Vancouver and we dropped Don and Jeanne off with their bikes for a day of biking in beautiful Stanley Park. Shirley and I continued over the Lions Bridge to North Vancouver to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and park. I was a little concerned going in about the "heart stopping" cliff walk which is part of the attraction. Anyway we had a great time in this "Disneyesque" park. IT was VERY beautiful and a setting that has been developed over 120 years to the park it is today. The suspension bridge is 230 feet up and 450 feet long. It is a pedestrian bridge so it moves with the people crossing it. Very sturdy and neat. On the other side there was the Treetops Adventure. More bridges high in the trees connecting via huge redwoods and cedars, complete with tree house. Beautiful walking trails once down all either paved or boardwalks. Then to the Cliff walk. It really was on the side of a cliff but it was a very sturdy narrow walkway with rails with steel mesh. No heart stopping for us but again very beautiful. We picked Don & Jeanne back up on our way back and headed for camp. Great spaghetti dinner at our site and began the packing up. Today we head for the ferry and Vancouver Island. We are staying just outside of Victoria. Looking forward to this part of our adventure. Enjoy the pics.
