Gilgandra, home of the thingamajig and humungous burrs….

A relatively easy drive today from Werriwa to Gilgandra thought the road surface is variable and suffering obvious flood damage with some potholes redolent of Sydney Harbour in size….. We haven’t been this way before so all was new and exciting….

Staying overnight at the Gilgandra caravan park which is very neat and tidy and dog friendly and the owner’s dog came and played with Gracie for a while till it lost interest. But @ $28/night it’s not cheap. Cyril the Bulldog walked past but one got the impression Cyril would have been a lot happier just resting….

The Gnomes arrived around 1300 and we then discovered the Clams were looking for them in Moree….. Numerous SMS were exchanged and the problem was sorted all is well we will meet them tomorrow at Cobar. No doubt Mrs Clam will be happy to once again plagiarise my blog to her own evil advantage…..

Afternoon tea was very festive, the Gnomes had bought VANILLA slices from Moree and they were of exceptional quality, texture and taste, consumed with ravenous abandon, I noted, by those who would not normally eat them…..

Anyway some pics….

There is one for the railway modlers and for an extra 2 points they have to name the railway station…. The others are self-explanatory….

I've fixed the problem with the pictures being hard to see, I think.....
