We left the Cape and travelled to Hartford CN to see a couple of 19th century icons. Our first stop was the Harriet Beecher Stowe house and museum. She wrote among many others Uncle Tom's Cabin. He home was quite nice and we had a tour guide. We also went to the museum and learned more about this person who Abe Lincoln said when he met her "So you're the little lady who started this war." Next Door was the home of Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain). What a house. 17,000 square feet and beautifully restored to original condition. The wood in this place was amazing. They also had a very large museum. Nice day of culture. We travelled to Middletown CT to have dinner with our niece Kari and her boyfriend Ryan. We met up with some of Kari's co-workers and friends and a nice time was had by all. Thanks to Kari and Ryan for letting us camp in their driveway. Enjoy the pics.
