Finally left West Yellowstone. Woke up to a couple inches of snow with blue skies. We drove 151 miles to Butte, Montana. During the drive we crossed the continental divide 3 times.
We are again at a KOA. It does not compare to the one stayed at in West Yellowstone. Not a big fan of KOA's. They are just convenient for us right now. Especially with the national park campgrounds not open yet.
Got here early enough to explore the historical downtown area. Lots of old very large mansions, old hotels and buildings still in use. It is very active downtown area. In season they have trolley and or walking tours. We are a little early for that.
