Making the most of the day

What a way to end the day

We woke to a lovely sunny 60 degrees this morning. We enjoyed breakfast outside. Flowers are starting to bloom around here and the bees are a buzz. I went for a long walk exploring the far end of the park. I discovered a second boat launch over there with a replica of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Didn't expect that!

The afternoon was spent under the shade of the tree down by the lake shore...what a way to spend a mid 80's day. We had friends join us that are staying in Parker down the road. Mick & Vi were my neighbors growing up in Bothell, WA. I use to babysit their kids as a young teenager. Their friends, Jack & Cheryl joined us too. I hadn't seen them since 2007. Len and I are meeting them all tomorrow in Parker at their park Castle Rock. We are going on an adventure to check out a funky restaurant up their way.

The clouds started gathering mid afternoon. I was excited as that meant the possibility of a beautiful sunset. I wasn't disappointed and I don't think you will be either.
