|28th Jan: Not much to report as a lot of travelling today, 3 or 4 hours on a bus then 7 hours on the train, did see a massive group of flamengoes from the train. For the next 3 days we will be travelling by 4wheel drive over the salt flats.
29th Jan: WOW!! Really impressed with the Salt Flats they are amazing. Some parts had a couple of inches of water and it reflected the sky perfectly. We took some really good photos and some really fun ones like Simon holding Abby in the palm of his hand!! We also went to a train cemetry which was better than expected but a bit odd!! Just lots of old trains all rusty and everyone can climb on them! We stayed at a very basic hotel/hostel made of salt. We celebrated one of our friend´s birthday´s here and had party hats and bags!!
30th Jan: We didnt have very good weather today and did a lot of driving. We stopped a couple of times including to see hundreds of flamengoes, a red lake and some volcanic rock. We stayed in a crummy hostel tonight!! Oh well, all part of the experience!
31st Jan: We were up at 4am this morning to drive to some natural hot air vents where an underground river meets hot volcanic lava, hot air is pushed up out of the ground! Then we went onto a natural hot spring ready for sunrise which Simon and some others bathed in. We then drove to a green lake and ten a long drive back to Uyuni.
