Siem Reap, Cambodia: 27-29 January
Peter flew in from Kuala Lumpur and joined us for a long weekend's temple exploration. Great catching up with him!
In honour of his friends, Alan 'up-marketed' us. We stayed at The Royal Bay Inn
, a rather swish place with pool.
We re-visited Bayon temple
complex built in 1190 AD by King Jayavarman VII, and Ta Prohm
plus several other temples in the main complex of Angkor Wat. Pete and I visited a craft fair (fairtrade and NGO-sponsored businesses) in a nearby park.
We all resisted the temptation to go for the latest craze, feet-nibbling fishtanks to munch away your dead skin!
