The Big Trip Around Aus. in a Tin Can travel blog

5th February. We said our goodbyes to Sue and Alan, with the promise to keep in touch, we hope to catch up again in a couple of weeks. Well Lithgow and Bathurst were just large towns, so we decided to continue on to Orange, there are only two caravan parks, one was full due to racing in Bathurst, so we booked into the Canobolas Caravan Park, it was the biggest dump we have stayed in, even rivals Roebourne, the amenities were clean but left a lot to be desired the water pressure was ho hum, and only one light worked and a couple of the doors wouldn’t lock, even Wayne thought it was yuk, it is mainly a park for permanents, you’ve never seen such ramshackle caravans and the junk lying around them, in places the grass was growing through wheels and guide ropes yuk. We did do some shopping as we needed to. Orange is a big place and has a large shopping area. The scenery on the way was very varied, most of it very hilly.
