While the location says Cave Creek on our location, we are actually about 20 miles west of the town. We have heard this is where the artists (painters, bronze, glassworks and more) have begun to congregate, and there are some large studios throughout the area, so we'll be spending some time exploring this community later.
Our move to this park was uneventful and we're both glad we made the change, this is more our style. There are no bad sites. As you can see from the photo, we see the lake and distant mountains all around us. The day was absolutely gorgeous with the warm sunshine to make it happen. Our spot is level and secluded with 50 amps of power and water. No wifi here but the view and setting more than make up for that minor inconvenience. The park is about half full and most of those will leave tomorrow, so it is quiet and peaceful. Probably a completely different ambiance than we'll experience in Mesa, but we're looking forward to that also. While this location feels remote, all of the big box stores and restaraunts are just over the hill about 10 miles away, so this has the best of everything.
Lunch was at Burger King today on the way out of Wickenburg. Since I'm posting in town at Starbuck's, I'll get some take-out Italian food to satisfy Bev's craving for some pasta tonight.
We'll enjoy our sunset view with some Italian food for dinner. Stay tuned and we'll see you down the road.................
