This morning we drove down to Sun City West to visit Shirley. She is a summertime neighbor in Graeagle. We enjoyed seeing her wintertime home and catching up since we haven't seen her since last summer and her 45 day voyage to the Far East and Australia, so we had a lot to talk about. She had invited her neighbors over to meet us since they also are RVers, just not fulltime. Harold & Helen were very delightful to meet and talk about motorhomes and places we have all been or plan to go. Shirley served a wonderful lunch and before we knew it, 4 or 5 hours had literally flown by. We hope to see Harold, Helen & Shirley again before we leave this area.
I have been scouting the area maps and found Lake Pleasant Regional Park ( www.maricopa.gov/parks/lake_pleasant/ ) just NW of Phoenix and since we were close this afternoon, we drove out there. We liked what we saw and tomorrow we plan to move over there. It is in a beautiful desert setting on the edge of a lake created from an earth fill dam. There is 50amp power and water with a dump station close by, so we'll tell you more once we get set up and hopefully find wifi. The latter may be a problem since it is about 15 miles from the nearest evidence of a city. We'll take pictures and make sure they are preserved in order for you to see what I'm talking about.
It was about sundown by the time we returned home and relaxed from our busy day of visiting and sightseeing. The temps are starting to warm, the next few days are forecast to be in the 70s, and what's best is no freezing overnight temps.
Between reader Gordon and Bev here at home, you are able to see my pictures this evening. I don't know why, but the laptop just didn't want to accept my commands earlier, fortunately I have people who seem to be able to calm my frustrations. Thanks to them, we have an entry for this evening. I hope your computer driven devices are all behaving and if not, you have an expert to call on. Hang in there everyone, we'll see you down the road.........
