|Another week has flown by. I don't know how we continue to stay so busy but we certainly do a good job of it!
We ran errands all day today. Last week Larry & I both had our eyes examined and ordered new glasses. Well, new to Larry and a first pair for me. I've been getting by with readers for several years but since I hit the big 6-0 it's been all downhill, lol! Well, at least in the sight department. Anyway, they called to say they were ready & we picked them up this afternoon. It's going to take a bit of getting used to for me but they tell me I'll do fine with these progressive lenses in a week or so. Larry's prescription hasn't changed much in the past year but his last glasses were total junk. We do not recommend Eyeglass World by the way. Two pair of glasses, taken back twice, and neither will keep the lenses in! They are constantly falling out. After only a month, not good.
Afterward we made a quick stop at the jewelry shop. My watches both needed a few links out of them. Yesterday Larry discovered a screw in our front tire so next stop, Big O tire shop. Then a quick stop at Smith's for a few groceries, a stop at Family Christian for a new book with Larry's birthday cash and an hour at Kohl's. Whew, are you tired yet????
Speaking of birthday's, we finally managed to schedule, and have, 'the' birthday party this past Sunday. You know, the one for Cindy, Larry and Ashley. They are all in January so it's much easier to have one gathering with the family. Bonnie made her awesome chicken and noodles and there were two cakes. One for the girls and one for Larry. It was a great time. Tawnia and Ashley are both expecting their babies in May. Tawnia is having a boy and Ashley a girl. They decided to do a 'belly measure'. I hope no one is offended by the pic, but we think it is sweet. Child birth is an awesome thing. And being grandparents and great-aunt and uncle is way cool too! Man, that makes us pretty old doesn't it, lol.
We head out tomorrow for Needles, California. Our good friend Archie is celebrating his birthday Saturday and numerous family and friends are getting together. It's a big gathering of RV'ers and we're hoping it's a bit warmer there! And less windy. The wind blew hard yesterday, it was cold, and our water was frozen this morning! Ooops, we weren't expecting that. It's disconnected now as it's supposed to be even colder tonight. Well, that's it for now. Thanks for checking in & I'll try to post again a bit quicker next time! Goodnight....
