Stayed in Altena 5000 Hostel in Park across from bus terminal, easy walk, filled w/ many cabins which people rent (lots of tourists here - Uruguain/Argentinian/Brazilian). Also, a huge tent city down the road...Nice...talked to Nadia (when in P.del E. to make reservations) who is mgr and she was very nice, assured us no problem...we arr past midnight and she greeted us warmly, almost tucked us in, ha!
Up early, washed clothes, then off to beach, too much sun for me! Has got to be the biggest beach I've ever seen and most people...major crowd w/ kite flying, paddle ball, soccer...we body surf. Back to town and walk around, ck out lighthouse (1875 - 14 people died when 1st one under construction collapsed in a storm) Very windy here and in eve the blvd/street comes alive w/ inflatable kids entertainment, puppet theater, carnival rides, etc. We go to movies (theater like Missoula old Crystal place)...The King's Speech *****, and The Tourist **. We'd been to the bus terminal and Mari got her ticket to airport (then on to La Paz, Bolivia) at 8am, ours for Cabo Polonio at 9:30am...Bon, Tim, Jake, & Beth.
