Imagine.... (photo by Vin)

Walking back down the mountain and into Aguas Calientes in the rain...

Tony: We took a bus at about 6:00 in the morning up to Machu Picchu. It was raining and the ruins were completely covered in fog. Because we could not see anything around us, we decided to wander along a narrow path perched on the face of a steep cliff that lead to a incan bridge (a drop off in the path with a board stretched across it). When we returned the main part of the city the fog lifted and we had an amazing view of Machu Picchu.

Vin: On the top of the mountain was an amazing view of Machu Picchu and the three mountains in the background.

Jen took a quick cooking lesson in the evening – quinoa soup and quinoa risotto -- YUMMM

(Walked/hiked 7 ½ miles)
