Christmas at Batemans Bay

the best we can Christmas Batemans Bay

nothing changes Boxing Day Ironing

21st December. On the road again, we are heading to Bateman’s Bay where we will stay until the 2nd Jan. 2011. We arrived at the caravan park at just after 10am, the park is 9 klms out of Bateman’s Bay it is called Sunhaven there are mainly units with only a few camp and caravan sites, the park itself is very clean and neat, but hardly worth four stars.

22nd December. We did some shopping, I iced the Christmas cake and generally started to get ready for Christmas, Wayne put up the decorations, lights and tinsel on the awning, must admit it looks very festive.

23rd December. Did some more shopping, then in we drove to Moruya, to see a Chiropractor, I could hardly get out of bed this morning. Moruya is quite a decent size town, with lots of eateries, and all the usual shops.

24th December. Feeling much better, so got stuck into some baking before we had to drive back to Moruya to have the car serviced, it took a couple of hours, so we walked around the shops then had lunch, when we got back to the CP, I finished the baking I had been doing in readiness for tomorrow. We had drinks with Sue and Alan.

25th December. Christmas is here, we are having a combined hot lunch with Sue & Alan, it is nice to have their friendship and company especially as I am missing home. Wayne gave me another beautiful diamond ring, I gave him a new wallet, and a 12 volt. Vacuum cleaner,( seems a funny thing to give but Wayne has been wanting one since we left the one at home.) We sat around part of the morning, we played Bochee, and had lunch at about 2pm, as usual we ate too much, but it was very enjoyable.
